David Doeren is president and chief operating officer, where he oversees a broad range of products and services that re-establish income sources and coordinate public and private benefits for those with disabilities. He reports to Jim Allsup, founder, chairman and CEO.
David is an experienced claims management and business professional having worked more than 15 years in disability services with added years as a research analyst. He joined the company in February 2012 as a national sales manager, and has held the positions of national account director, vice president, national accounts and business development, and most recently was vice president and head of sales, marketing and account management.
Today, David oversees the company’s executive team and daily operations, implementation of business strategies and performance, development of business objectives, corporate culture and growth initiatives. Allsup’s services include Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) representation, veterans disability appeals, return to work, healthcare benefits services for individuals, insurance carriers and employers.
Prior to joining the company, Doeren held positions of increasing authority with group benefits carrier Liberty Mutual, including severe case manager, team manager and senior group benefits consultant. In these roles, he developed specialized knowledge of short-term disability (STD), long-term disability (LTD), statutory benefits, group life benefits and Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) administration.
David earned a MBA from Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas. He holds a bachelor of economics degree from the University of Kansas in Lawrence and has participated in various professional development courses, including Miller Heiman’s Large Account Management ProgramSM (LAMP®).
